Pdf metadata refers to the information about the document that was written using Adobe Acrobat software. These tags help organize and classify documents efficiently. The meta data includes author name, creation date, subject area, keywords, etc.

The basic steps involved in editing pdf metadata are mentioned below:

    • Open Adobe Acrobat Pro
    • Click Save As button in the lower left corner of the screen. Select All Files (*.*;*)? from the file type drop down menu and select the location where you wish to save the files. Then press OK button to save the changes.
    • In case you want to change/add any information directly in the existing file, you need to follow these steps:
    • Click Change Information button at the bottom right corner of the screen. You can edit text only or change image properties if you have images embedded in the pdf file.
    • Make the necessary changes and then press OK button to close the window.
    • To preview the changes, click Preview PDF button at the top right corner of the window. If you find no difference between original and modified pdf file, simply press Done button to save the changes and exit the program.
